Make a fort with our adorable, customizable characters!

When I decided to offer a camouflage pattern, I didn't realize what I got myself into. There are dozens of patterns and colors. It all started to make sense, once I started thinking about it. You need conceal for different environements; Arctic, Woods, Water, Desert, etc. Then you have different shades within those general environments!

Rest easy. I evaluated lots of alternatives, and consulted with my printing plate, ink, and manufacturing partners to custom formulate the perfect colors for these kits. The result is a great pattern that the kids will surely enjoy.

Rainy Sunday magic

We made hot cocoa and she camped inside with her stuffed penguin. After that, two hours of time to myself. I actually finished the laundry.

Looks nice in the house.

I’m picky about aesthetics. The Frosted Kit doesn’t scream “toy clutter.” It blends in.

Small footprint, big imagination.

Fits in our apartment living room without taking over. She reads, colors, sings—quiet play wins.

My daughter added fairy lights and called it her “winter cottage.” It’s precious.

The cat moved in too.

Not kidding. Our kid and the cat share it like roommates. Zero regrets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the kits waterproof?

No. The kits are intended for indoor enjoyment. They are not water-proof or water-resistant.

Can I build a fort on hardwood floors?

The forts can be built on hardwood floors, tile, or carpet. Building them on carpeting or an area rug is best, as it gives the bottom of the forts a bit more friction and resistance to sliding outward.

Are the Kidz Forts kits safety tested?

Yes. Product safety is our top priority. Our kits have been rigorously 3rd party tested to meet or exceed safety standards as dictated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, including ASTM F963 Toy Safety Standards, as well as Canadian Consumer Product Toy Safety Standards.

Can I build it outside in my backyard?

You can; however, we advise you not to do so when the lawn is wet or there is a chance of rain. It is best to remove it once you’re finished playing it. Leaving it out overnight could also provide shelter for wildlife.

Can you paint the outside of the fort?

Yes. Acrylic paint is generally the best choice. Here’s why:

Porous surface: Cardboard is porous, and acrylic paint adheres well to it without excessive soaking or warping.

Non-toxic:
Many acrylic paints are non-toxic and safe for children. Look for labels that specify “AP certified non-toxic” or similar.

Water-based
cleanup: Acrylics are water-based, making them easy to clean up with soap and water. This is convenient for both kids and adults.

Versatile:
Acrylic paints come in a wide variety of colors and finishes, giving you plenty of options for decorating your Fort creations.

Fast drying: Acrylics dry quickly, which means less waiting time and less chance of smudging.

Note: Please read the safety warnings before attempting to paint your Fort creation.

Are Your Connectors Compatible with the Make-A-Fort Kits?

Yes. Our connectors can be used to build and make your Make-A-Fort kits even more sturdy.

Are the fort kits eco-friendly?

Yes! All of our fort kits are made from 100%
recycled corrugated cardboard, making them both sturdy and sustainable. By using recycled materials, we help reduce waste and give cardboard a second life as a fun, creative play space. Plus, our forts are fully
recyclable when your adventure is over!
